If you are shopping for a boat of any type, it should be fun and rewarding, not a worriesome headache. We excel at keeping the process fun, exciting, enjoyable and educational - no matter how long it may take. Some of our clients know fairly well the type of features they want in a boat and the process goes fairly quickly. Others look at boats for weeks or months before finding the boat they want. It matters not to us how long or how quickly it may take.
We absolutely promise not to pressure anyone into a purchase or a sale, period. If you'd like to just look at boats for months, we'll find them for you, and take you to them.
The fact is, we love boats. We work by the water; we see and visit boats everyday. Each of us personally own boats of our own. We love being on boats, looking at boats, telling people about boats, and searching far and wide for the right boat for each client. Spending lots of time with our clients also has a side effect - we develop friendships that last long after each sale.
After a Purchase
As you know, pre-owned boats are sold as-is with no warranty. Most mechanical issues are discovered during the sale, either when the seller discloses an issue or when an unknown issue is found by a marine surveyor. Problems are usually corrected before the purchase is completed, and all is well. Either way, it's no problem at Brokaw Yachts because we won't leave you dead in the water if, after the sale, your autopilot quits, your halyard parts or your prop shaft seal starts dripping too much. Our past clients call us from time to time to ask a question, get free advice, get a referral for an issue, or actually ask us to help fix a broken part. We drop what we are doing to help, no matter the issue. This "after sale" care is readily available to all of our clients without hesitation.
